Holga

February 27, 2010

I recently scanned another roll of negatives from last year and found this photograph.  I like the way it shows a sense of space and dimension.  Even though I think it’s totally different from what I saw in the viewfinder.  When using the Holga, I usually shoot the same scene with my digital.  I didn’t with this one.

Taken with a Holga 120N using Kodak BW400CN film.

Happy Holidays!

December 24, 2009

It’s been a long and eventful year.  Wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday season as I look forward to being more active with my photography in 2010.

Taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Alpha 1 using type 600 film.

Recycled

Not sure when this came to be, but somebody pulled a bunch of items from what looks to be an old landfill in the middle of the woods.  There is a 1950’s car overturned near a refrigerator and a few other large items and who knows what else.  There’s a foundation from a house or barn that was once nearby, but all that surrounds today is woods.  Kind of reminds me of Shelley’s “Ozymandias.”

Taken with a Canon 40D.

Another storm came through yesterday, postponing my trip to New York.  So I spent my Sunday looking through some recent shots and found this one.  It’s another view of the tree I posted just before Christmas.  The weather makes photographing outdoors a challenge this time of year, but I hope to get out soon!
