How I Spent My Summer

December 11, 2008

I recently wrote a story about my summer macro experience for the JPG Magazine website.  It’s basically a review of the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens and the world of close up photography it opened up for me.  I had a lot of fun putting the exhibition together and still find new subjects to explore.

Countdown to Photo Plus

October 11, 2008

PDN’s PhotoPlus Expo starts in a couple of weeks. It gives us aspiring professionals the chance to check out new equipment, like the Canon 5D MarkII, talk with factory reps, and take seminars with established pros.  It’s a three day event, from October 23rd to 25th.  I’m planning to go for one day, although some of my friends are making a week of it.  This is the second year I’ve been able to go and I’m looking forward to it!

It’s Here!

The new Canon 5D Mark II is finally official!  Sorry if I’m geeking out over this one, but 21 Megapixel full frame resolution and HD video are too much not to get excited about!  Check out this for a hands-on description of this amazing beast.  And watch the video here.
