Katz’s Deli

February 3, 2009

Went to New York City on Sunday with a group of friends to shoot photos. We had breakfast at Katz’s Deli, where the famous scene from “When Harry Met Sally” was filmed. It’s one of those places that’s a New York City landmark.  Shot on 600 film with an SX-70 Alpha1 Model 2 camera.

This wall is part of what was left after a fire burned down the building at the corner of Weybosset and Eddy Streets in Providence. The building housed a tattoo parlor as well as the Downcity restaurant and the old Safari Lounge. I took this in the spring of 2008, long after the remains of the building were torn down.  Shot on 600 film with a Polaroid SX-70 Alpha1 Model2.

As I write this, I am trying to come up with a photography related topic to teach a group of peers.

A New Day For America

January 20, 2009

Had the day off from work, so I watched  the Inauguration of Barack Obama as our new President.  The last time I watched an Inauguration was when they had us watch it in school.  As the torch is passed to a new generation, I have hope for the future of our country.

This photograph was taken on Veteran’s Day 2008 with my Polaroid 250 on Type 669 film.

Look Into My Eye

December 16, 2008

I went to Fort Wetherill in Jamestown, RI during my summer Macro/Close-up class.  While exploring, I found this and had to capture it.  Taken with my Polaroid SX-70 Alpha1 using Type 600 film.

Looking Through the Archives

November 25, 2008

I haven’t been shooting much lately, so I’m posting a couple of interesting shots form the last year or so.  This entry is a stone bridge from a fall foliage trip to New Hampshire in 2007.  It’s one of my favorite Polaroids as well.  Hope you like it.
