Breakfast

katz_4

In my last post, I mentioned going to Katz’s Deli.  Whenever I go out to breakfast with my photographer friends and I order pancakes, I always threaten to photograph them.  This time I brought my Polaroid in and actually did it.

A little background:  Last year, when I was taking History of Photography at RISD, we had to do a presentation on a famous photographer.  Our group presentation was on Stephen Shore.  For his American Surfaces and Uncommon Places projects, Shore traveled, “exploring the changing culture of America and exploring how a photograph renders the segment of time and space in its scope.”  In the process, he photographed TV sets, furniture, and of course, a pancake breakfast.

Taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Alpha1, Model2 using 600 film.
