It’s been a long and eventful year.  Wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday season as I look forward to being more active with my photography in 2010.

Canal St.

I photographed this building on a recent trip to NYC.  I had a great time at Photo Plus Expo, even though I had trouble walking around.  The show was smaller this year, but always worth the trip.

Sunflowers

When I injured my knee this past summer, I was trying to figure out how I could continue to photograph outdoors.  There were a couple of sunflowers growing behind the shed that offered me the perfect opportunity.  So I brought out my digital and the Polaroid on occasion to document them.

Just before the storm, I managed to get back inside with the camera.  This is one from July that I’m preparing for an exhibit.

From an early summer trip to the beach.  I saw this starfish washed up on a rock, drying in the sun.

Going through my recent archives, I found this macro shot of a toadstool.  What interested me about it is the collection of debris on top, along with what looks like the bite marks of a small animal.

Recycled

Not sure when this came to be, but somebody pulled a bunch of items from what looks to be an old landfill in the middle of the woods.  There is a 1950’s car overturned near a refrigerator and a few other large items and who knows what else.  There’s a foundation from a house or barn that was once nearby, but all that surrounds today is woods.  Kind of reminds me of Shelley’s “Ozymandias.”
